British cars are always the perfect display of luxury and taste. In the fiercely competitive world of automobiles, British cars always keep their unique and iconic style.

1. Bentley

Bentley is one of the world's premium car manufacturers. Mr. Walter Owen Bentley, who has always been known as "W.O.", was an apprentice of the Great Northern Railways in England.

A love of speed and performance, combined with the ability to sell cars by winning races, led W.O. to found the Bentley Motor Company in 1919.

The Brooklands circuit in Surrey, England, is an important part of Bentley's history, as the brand set some famous records there in the 1920s and 1930s. This is how the Bentley Brooklands got its name in 1992. A coupe was introduced later in 2007, which was very important to enthusiasts.

Brooklands is powered by the familiar 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged engine that produces 530 horsepower.

It is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission that rotates the rear wheels. Notably, the front and rear suspensions were independent. Just over 500 units were built.

2. Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce is a graceful and noble symbol of the automobile kingdom, and no matter how old the Rolls-Royce model is and how expensive it is, there is still no challenger.

1906 Rolls-Royce was officially announced in England, and the Silver Ghost launched the following year was soon hailed as "the best car in the world".

Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost was the 1st model in Rolls-Royce's history.

At that time, it was not yet called Sliver Ghost, but Rolls-Royce 40/50HP.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the automobile industry had just started, and the body shape was still the design of a horse-drawn carriage.

So the body of the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost was similar to the horse-drawn carriage at that time, except that one relied on a horse and the other relied on engine drive.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost existed for a total of 18 years before production was officially discontinued in 1925. The 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost had a semi-open cockpit with a front windshield but no side windows.

3. Jaguar

When it comes to the highlight of high-performance sports cars, it is important to mention the XJ220, and even say that this car is unique in the history of British cars.

From the name of the XJ220 can be seen, the car was created solely for speed, 220 represents 220 mph, which means that the car was developed with the goal of surpassing the equivalent of 354.2 km / h top speed.

It is important to know that this plan was made public in 1988 and the prototype was powered by a V12 engine with 6.2 liters of displacement.

But unfortunately, after the Ford Group stepped in, due to cost control and other reasons, only the 542 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 turbo engine was finally used, and only 281 units of the XJ220 were produced in the 2 years from 1992 to 1994.

Although the XJ220 failed to achieve the most perfect state due to various difficulties, it also adopted the very advanced aluminum alloy integrated frame and honeycomb shell and set the fastest speed record of 217 mph (about 349 KM/H).

Although it failed to reach the initial design goal of 220 mph, this record was not broken until the McLaren F1 was introduced in 1994.

4. Aston Martin

The first appearance of the DB4 car in 1958 announced the beginning of Aston Martin's heyday. Thanks to the Italian bodywork, the car had an elegant and rigid demeanor.

Underneath the aluminum shell was a Tadek Marek twin-camshaft inline 6-cylinder engine. The DB4 demonstrates the tremendous progress and charm that Aston Martin has gained, enough to write the most splendid luxury stories of sedans.
